Conducting Drug and Alcohol Testing on Construction Sites
Conducting drug & alcohol testing on construction sites can be trickier to undertake than at a permanent premises, as there are not always the facilities required on site. Urine sampling typically requires a toilet to be available. Alternatively, the saliva test method may be preferable as less facilities are required.
Racoo staff are used to working on construction sites in either permanent or temporary structures, including portable buildings. When booking drug and/or alcohol testing for your site, please arrange the below facilities ahead of time. For Racoo to ensure test accuracy and Chain of Custody, the below requirements must be met.
Minimum:
Toilet (for urine tests)
Sheltered private area
Ideal:
Waiting area with chairs
Running water
Electricity supply
A canteen or site office can be closed to all staff and then used as a private consultation space.
Racoo Screening works with organisations of all sizes to help implement effective drug and alcohol testing policies that comply with relevant regulations. We also offer a complete drug and alcohol testing, training, and e-learning services. To find out more, contact us here.
